The "authorities" tab is for CA certificates. I don't have "this certificate has been verified for the following uses:" fields for any "server" certificate. The "servers" tab has plenty of certificates, but most are expired, some are revoked, and none of them are trusted. I have outlook, yahoo, gmail, comcast, fastmail, gmx, vivalidi and zoho mail accounts yet my certificate store doesn't have similar certificates. Please post a screen shot of its certificate. The screen shot for yahoo is for the security exception. My impression is that there is nothing wrong with the gmail and hotmail certificates. Its more work than just changing the Local Directory setting. Alternatively, you can import the mbox files for the old mail folders into your replacement account using the ImportExportTools add-on. However, you will have to change the Local Directory setting to reuse the old folders. Deleting a POP account doesn't delete its files. Try logging into webmail using a browser and reading (and then deleting) the oldest new message. Some others require you connect to a proxy, which makes the connection to the real mail server on your behalf. Avast! roots your certificates in order to scan mail sent over a secure connection. What anti-virus scanner are you using? Some can cause problems. ĭid you check that the CA certificate for the server's certificate (if you're still getting a invalid certificate error) exists and is valid?
